CI8M



The CI8M is a standalone, 8 channel CobraNet mic/line input module. Use this sonically superior input module to convert 8 channels of microphone or line level analog audio into professional quality digital audio for distribution over a CobraNet network. The studio quality specs of the CI8M's mic preamps guarantee world class performance.

Level controls, a peak limiter and metering are conveniently located on the front panel along with switches to apply phantom power. No computer is required, setup and operation are simple and easy. Just set the bundle select wheels to the desired bundle number, and set the bit width/latency selector to match that of the receiving device and adjust the input level as neccessary.

PXP
Protocol eXchange Platform

"Choose the right tools for the job instead of being bound to a single protocol . . ."

The Whirlwind PXP allows you to convert digital audio to and from the major transport protocols on your digital audio network.

For example, design CobraNet or Ethersound for your main system but convert to A-NET Pro16 for a headphone monitoring network.

Or use Ethersound for a straight stage to FOH run and convert to CobraNet to network through your facility.

Setting up a Yamaha digital console for a single protocol saves slot spaces while the PXP handles conversions where needed.

CO2a

2 Channel CobraNet Output Module

The CO2a is Whirlwind's 2-channel CobraNet output module. Use it to provide networked digital audio wherever a 2-channel feed is required such as direct to an amp rack, feeding powered speaker arrays, stereo background music, paging systems and multimedia presentations.

Just plug it into the network, select the CobraNet bundle to be received and pick 2 channels from within that bundle, it's that simple.

You can even use it as a quick CobraNet test receiver!

Features:

  • Uses CobraNet networking protocol - compatible with all other CobraNet devices from over 40 manufacturers.

  • Auto-detects 20 or 24 bit word length.

  • Auto-detects 5.33ms, 2.66ms or 1.33ms latencies.

  • Output level is selectable between two ranges: +20dB and +6dB or +6dB and -10dB @ digital full scale input.

  • Optional wired remote is available for controlling volume and channel select in stereo pairs or dual-mono selection.

  • Integral mounting bracket provides for secure vertical or horizontal orientation or mounting to a rack shelf.

  • Integrated universal power supply for 85-264VAC, 50/60Hz operation.
