WALL FRAMES
Patent Pending Recessed Wall Frames
These two-piece wall frame assemblies recess exposed connectors, providing
greater protection for them while enhancing the appearance of your
installation. Whirlwind patent-pending Wall Frames are currently available to
fit 8" x 8" and 12" x 12" standard NEMA type 1 electrical backboxes. There are
two
standard recess depths (1" and 2.5") and frames are available for both flush
mount and surface mount applications.
The surface mount version (WFS_ _ _ ) mounting flanges are the same dimensions as the corresponding backbox.
The flush mount version (WFF_ _ _ pictured above) mounting flanges extend one-half inch beyond the edge of the back box on all four sides to provide a visually appealing trim ring effect to the finished wall.
Standard finish for the frames is black powdercoat (B). Also available is a gray paint primer (P) version, for customer finishing to match wall decor.
Connector mounting insert panels (WFI_ _ _ ) attach to the frames and can be custom punched, engraved and loaded by Whirlwind to accommodate any installation requirement. Standard finish is black anodized aluminum.
Other sizes of recessed Wall Frames are also available upon request.

WALL BOX w/ COVER
This box installs between wall studs with standard 16" centers.
The door may be mounted to open to either side, it swings completly open for accessing the interior and features an open slot at the bottom so that it may be closed with cables plugged in. It comes either in gray primer, ready for paint or in black textured powder coat.

WALL PLATE INSERTS
WPIE series WPID series
They mount easily in standard wall plates (like those below), behind panels or in floor boxes.
(WPIE and WPID are punched for two Neutrik D series connectors and ship with connector mounting hardware. Connectors are sold separately.)
