The Whirlwind Super Tour is an entire 58-ch Concert Series snake system, neatly packed into a single road case. Super Tour packages are very popular with hotels, casinos, convention centers and touring sound companies and include all of the cabling you need for FOH, monitors, and broadcast (optional). Also included is our legendary Patchmaster system, complete with sub snakes.
Whirlwind incorporates the standard features of their legendary Super Tour with 2 lines of Data. All Super Tour splitters feature a W4 direct output on the rear, with the option of one or two isolated W4 outputs on the front panel. The 300' FOH cable consists of a 58-ch W4 cable, 12-ch W1 drive cable and AC cable bundled together. This cable coils neatly behind the splitter and exits through a trap door on the rear of the road case.
Multiline Cable Assemblies are designed to interconnect the components of Concert Series Splitters or other custom multichannel distribution systems.
The Whirlwind Concert Series mic splitting systems include the most requested options for splitter boxes and panels for concert audio. Each system is housed in either a heavy-duty steel stage box or an EIA 19" rack panel with back box enclosure. Our Whirlwind MASS Series Multipin connectors speed set-up and tear-down.All versions available with a 3 way split (as shown in accompanying photo). Call us for custom configurations.
The CatMaster incorporates 6 Neutrik EtherCON connectors terminating to color-coded tails. The tails exit through grommets so they may be retracted into the panel. Tails can be dressed to length for a neat appearance and unused tails can be pushed back and out of the way.
Catdusa is a 4 channel analog snake box that uses shielded Cat5 cable instead of traditional multipair cable. Each channel has paralleled male and female xlrs, allowing for greater flexibility. The two Neutrik Ethercon RJ45s (IN/THRU), let you daisy chain multiple boxes. If shielded Cat5 cable is used, Catdusa can pass phantom power and DMX. The Mini stage box design means Catdusa can be placed almost anywhere.Minimum 2 Catdusa boxes required.
Catdusa CT-F and CT-M are recent additions to the Catdusa family. Like other Catdusa products, they use Cat cable to transmit four channels of analog audio. Both have a Neutrik Ethercon connector broken out to four XLRs on 18 inch tails. They are wired with 110 ohm cable to maintain AES and DMX performance when using shielded Cat cable. Using shielded Cat cable also allows phantom power to pass for condenser microphones. The CT-F has four female XLRs, while the CT-M terminates to four male XLRs, and the CT-MF has 4 interchangable (male/female) XLRs.. They can be used together to create a simple 4 channel fan to fan snake, or they can be combined with other Catdusa pieces to create a flexible and comprehensive stage sub snake system. Check out our entire Catdusa family, and find out what RJ45 solution works best for you!
Our 2 space CATDUSA-2R conveniently houses two Catdusas. NOTE* RACK KIT ONLY, Catdusas sold separatly.
CatdusaDMXRJ45 to 5 pin XLR Breakout Box The Whirlwind CatdusaDMX uses five pin XLR connectors instead of 3 pin to provide a dedicated way to use Cat5 or Cat6 Ethernet cable for transmitting DMX lighting control. Plug a CatdusaDMX box onto each end of a cable terminated with RJ45 connectors and use 5 pin DMX cables to connect to equipment. Pins 4 and 5 of the XLR connectors are not wired, so four universes are possible and conversion from 5 pin to 3 pin can be achieved by using a standard Catdusa box at one end. There are four circuits on the CatdusaDMX box, using the four twisted pairs of the Cat cable. Each circuit has male and female 5 pin XLR connectors allowing for easy bidirectional signal configurations. Two RJ45 jacks wired in parallel are provided for daisy-chaining applications.
The Whirlwind Catformer is a four channel RJ45 input box. Each channel features a Neutrik combo connector, and can be either a mic or DI input with the simple flick of a switch. The Catformer has 1/4" feedthru connectors for the DI inputs, with ground lift switches to eliminate hum, and a Neutrik Ethercon output jack.
Here are some different solutions that can make set-up, tear-down and transportation a lot easier.
